How to refer to KYAX, use our name and logo, and the few cases where you need to ask us first.

Why this page exists
Our name and logo tell people that something came from us — or that it did not. That is the whole job of a trademark, and it only works while the marks are used consistently. This policy explains how you may refer to KYAX in your own materials, which in most cases needs no permission at all, and the few uses that need to be agreed with us first.
It applies to everyone: clients, partners, journalists, candidates and anyone writing about us. It is not a licence, and it transfers no rights in the marks.

Five rules that cover almost everything
Use the full mark
Write KYAX in full and in capitals. Do not abbreviate it, translate it, or fold it into another word.
Do not modify it
No recolouring, redrawing, rotating, stretching, adding effects, or rebuilding the logo in another typeface.
Give it room
Leave clear space around the logo — at least the height of the K on every side — and keep it large enough to read.
Keep it separate
Do not lock our mark up with your own, or place it so that it reads as part of your brand.
Say who owns it
Where you use our mark prominently, add a line: KYAX is a trademark of KYAX SOLUTIONS LLC.
What you can do, and what you can’t
Most honest references to us are fine and need no permission. The line is confusion — whether a reader could come away thinking we made, sponsored or approved what they are looking at.
No permission needed
- Refer to KYAX by name to say, truthfully, that you work with us, have used our services, or are writing about us.
- State that your system was built, audited or operated by KYAX.
- Link to kyax.dev, including with our current logo as the link.
- Compare your product or service with ours, as long as the comparison is accurate and it is clear the comparison is yours.
- Use our name in news reporting, commentary, research and teaching.
Ask us first, or don’t
- Naming your company, product, service or app in a way that includes KYAX or resembles it.
- Registering a domain name that contains KYAX or a near-spelling of it.
- Using our name or logo so that it suggests we endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with you.
- Putting our marks on merchandise, event branding or promotional material.
- Altering the logo, or rebuilding it from the assets on this website.
- Registering our marks, or anything confusingly similar, as a trademark anywhere.
If we work together
You may say so, and use our name to say it — on your site, in a case study, in a tender. What you may not do is present the relationship as more than it is: a client is not a partner, a partner is not a reseller, and neither is an endorsement of your other work. If you would like a form of words, ask and we will give you one.
Tell us, or ask us
If you see our marks used in a way that misleads people, tell us. And if you are not sure whether what you have in mind is fine, ask — a short email is quicker than guessing, and the answer is usually yes.
